Everyone has a bad day on occasion. But what if Facebook made it worse

Internet users have reacted angrily to news that Facebook researchers manipulated the content some users were shown in an attempt to gauge their emotional response. 690,000 users. Some people were shown a higher number of positive posts, while others were shown more negative posts.
The results of the experiment, conducted by researchers from Cornell, the University of California, San Francisco and Facebook, were published this month in the prestigious academic journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
The study found that users that were shown more negative content were slightly more likely to produce negative posts. Users in the positive group responded with more upbeat posts.
So it worked! Facebook was able to successfully change the emotional state of its users. While the mood changes were small, the researchers argued that the findings have major implications given the size and scale of the social network.
Facebook's term of service gives the company permission to conduct this kind of research, but many users have reacted with anger at what they say is a dangerous social experiment. There is no indication that the 690,000 subjects were asked if they would like to take part in the study.
Facebook uses an algorithm to determine which of roughly 1,500 available posts will show up in a user's News Feed. The company frequently changes this program to modify the mix of news, personal stories and advertisements seen by users

I’m standing in Top Shop as jostling customers browse for handbags and flick through rails of summer dresses. They are not looking at me, but I am watching them.
In fact, I am photographing them, taking video clips and wiring them back to the office. I make a call without lifting a finger. I send a discreet email. But I attract no attention because the camera, the screen and the phone are virtually invisible. They are just a tiny component of my high-tech glasses.
I am looking at the future and the people around me are oblivious. The long-awaited but controversial Google Glass has arrived in Britain, and I am testing what it can do – and not just in terms of making calls or capturing high-quality snaps to show my friends. I am also seeing how it stretches long-cherished ideas of privacy to breaking point. And beyond.

Nissan set to excite Goodwood crowds




Global debut of NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo®
Olympians Sir Chris Hoy and Jenny Jones and Paralympian Richard Whitehead MBE will greet fans on the stand over the weekend

Fantasy will become reality this weekend when the NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Grand Turismo® makes its global debut as part of the brand's thrilling and action-packed Goodwood Festival of Speed programme.
The covers come off the NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo® on Thursday 26 June at 13:00 on the Nissan stand, giving visitors the first chance to see the car up close.

Furthermore, as part of the festivities, Nissan's Chief Planning Officer, Andy Palmer, along with the brand's Chief Creative Officer, Design and Brand Management, Shiro Nakamura, will also be at Goodwood over the course of the weekend to meet members of the media and public alike.

Conceived by the team from Nissan's European design studio in London for the latest installment of the legendary PlayStation driving franchise, Gran Turismo®, the concept points to how a Nissan supercar of the future could look.

And its much-anticipated first appearance will be one of the highlights of a scintillating 2014 festival presence that will showcase like never before the spirit of innovation and excitement embedded in Nissan's DNA.
Olympic hero Sir Chris Hoy, now a Nissan driver and brand ambassador, will appear on the Nissan stand three times - between 11:00-11:30 and 14:30-15:00 on Friday and 14:30-15:00 on Sunday - for a Q&A session with fans.

Fellow brand ambassador, Richard Whitehead MBE - a Gold Medallist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games - and Jenny Jones, a Bronze Medallist at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, will be visiting the Nissan stand as well as part of the brand's inspirational #UniteAndExcite partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB on the Road to Rio.

Visitors will be able to experience motorsport thrills for themselves in high-tech Gran Turismo® 6 gaming pods. To complete the digital experience visitors can virtually design their own IDx concept with the Oculus Rift 3D virtual reality gaming headset that delivers mind-blowing realism.

There will be a strong Nissan presence on the Goodwood track too, with two versions of its all-conquering GT-R supercar - the GT-R NISMO and the record-breaking GT-R Time Attack appearing on the famous circuit throughout the weekend. The GT-R NISMO GT3 will be driven by rising star, GT Academy winner and current Le Mans JS P2 driver Jann Mardenborough.

Everyone know that our get-together programme on sat 5th Jul 2014 at Arbor field community hall near by Reading.
AIM
The aim of the get-gather programme are,  to meet and greet, to continue establish strong relationship, to share thought and ideas among us.

PLACE
Arbor Field community centre

TIMING
Programme start: 1030 hrs.
Programme end :  2000 hrs.
Hall handover    : 2030 hrs.
Note: Those who are residing around Berkshire and Hampshire please do turn up at 0900 hrs for set up.
PARKING
we have approximately 15 parking spaces around the hall itself. If not enough there are also church's parking spaces we may use.
NOTE
1,Those who are travelling by public transport nearest train station is Wokingham, there is no bus service to Arbor Field community hall.
2,If you travelling via Reading train station there is bus service to Arbor Field community hall takes about 35 minutes ( Bus no 144)

1. Chairman: Overall supervision.
2. Vice chairman: To provide necessary drinks and look after guests.
3. Secretary: Run the programme smoothly.
4. Treasurer: collection, payment various subject, update all financial matters, co-ordinate entertainment with Om. 
5. Vice secretary: To provide food, collection money payment, family data collection for future reference.
6. Vice treasurer: Take over/ handover the hall, safety of first aid, check all food items before serve.
7. Om Prakash: To provide maximum entertainment with Tambola.
8. Inghang: To provide maximum photo wherever we need also tag to our Facebook after completing bhela. 
9. Arun: To collect the names who might respect on the day and direct the people to place.

All health and safety issues will be assessed on arrival to site. Any concerns will be raised at this time and instruction, guidance given to all.
