It’s funny how assets from yesteryears pop up all of a sudden, breaking estimates and stunning all of us. A saucy photo of pop singer Madonna from 1990’s in beach blond hair and dark eye-make up went on sale at Bonhams at a price three times the estimate. The sultry photo in grey and silvery tone was taken by fashion photographer Steven Meisel, when Madonna was about 31 during her Blond Ambition tour. The provocative image was one among many photographs for which Madonna had posed at the time.
The picture that flaunts her bare breasts and just about covers her modesty, has the star posing with a cigarette and pouting her lips. The photo fetched £14,761 ($23,750), a price three times higher than Bonham’s £5,000 estimate.
